Mode of assessments: Mentalogue Clinic is set up to provide both face to face as well as Telehealth consultations. Medicare Rebate may not be available for some Telehealth consultations.

Appointments
Referrals will be screened on a case by case basis. Our staff will contact the patient with an appointment if accepted. Initial consultation is for 60 minutes and subsequent reviews will be for 15, 30 or 45 minutes.
All patients require a current referral from their GP or club doctor to avail of Medicare rebate. Patients are responsible for ensuring a current referral. Please check with the clinic administration whilst making an appointment that your referral is current. 

Transcription Software:
Mentalogue uses an AI transcription software which will assist us in keeping detailed and accurate records during your clinical consultation. If you have any concerns around this, please let us know and this can be deactivated. All recordings are deleted after the clinical session and the software operates under strict Australian guidelines which protect your privacy and confidentiality. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
 

       Payment of fees:

       Payment is required at the time of your consultation. 

       Our clinic is a private billing practice. Medicare rebates may be available for eligible services. Where               applicable, Medicare claims can be submitted electronically on your behalf following payment. 

 

      Please note:

• You/Person responsible for the account, are responsible for the payment of all fees charged by the clinic.

• The clinic does not process private health insurance claims. 

• We prefer payment using Tyro Transfer or Bank to bank transfer. Payments using debit or credit cards may attract further transaction fees. Please discuss with reception if you have queries regarding this. 

• Any outstanding fees must be paid before further appointments can be provided. 

• You are not eligible for medicare rebate if you are not attending the consult whilst in Australia. 
  
  Cancellation Policy:
  If you are unable to attend your appointment, please inform admin promptly. Full fees will be charged for non attendance or if the appointment is not cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time. Please note that cancellation/ non-attendance fees DO NOT attract a Medicare rebate. Cancellations and non attendances will need to be paid before a future appointment is made.

Privacy
Your clinical information will be held in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988. Information will only be released to authorised parties as advised by you. A consent letter for release of information is required if you wish to release your clinical information to any other 3rd parties.
